FTC is located in North Hollywood, CA and has an immediate opening for the right person to be a part of our team. Familiarity with Fasteners within the Aerospace Industry is a MUST.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform in-process and First Article quality control inspections.
Proficient in the use of standard inspection hand tools such as: micrometers, calipers, Optical comparator, thread gaging and microscope for visual inspection of product.
Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, prints, and specifications.
Complete, maintain, and organize QA/QC documentation and records.
Assist in the interpretation and enforcement of manufacturing requirements.
Read, interpret, and adhere to quality control procedures and standards.
Initiate rejections of non-conforming parts and materials.
Verify material certifications to specifications and Chain of Custody.
Receiving inspection from outside processing including certification review and acceptance.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUREMENTS
Proficient in mechanical testing (Shear, Tensile, Pull-out and Recess Torque.)
Experience in similar manufacturing industry preferred but not required due to on-the-job training. Must be able to read 2D drawings, knowledge of AS9100 QA procedures and AS9102 FAI experience.
Maintain exemplary attendance record.
Hands on experience on a manufacturing floor a plus.
Strong organizational skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to speak, read and write in English and use basic computer functions including Microsoft Office programs.
